I'm not exactly sure of what the area I'm pointing at used for.
This port I'm pointing at comes up thru the area in the next picture of the float bowl.
And this area in the float bowl is where the tube in the next picture fits into.

I can tell that is not a USA model Yamaha RZ350 Carb.
This is a guess- I think it looks like it could be an oil injection port.

That is the bottom of a powerjet carburator fitted to a non powerjet carburator top. That-s the fuel pickup for the powerjet . You can use it but you will have to block off that output otherwise fuel will spill out.

That does look like a powerjet bowl. And it could be possible that someone with a bunch of oddball carbs did a mix and match on something this old.
