:smt005 I was the same Jon
Gold wheels were for colour blind people who walked around in hideous tracksuits :smt005

I was just going to fit the rear until the front tyre wore out then I would get matching wheels but itching now to get it on :smt031
Same with leaving the grabrail off ,it now looks o.k.

I had better take a trip to specsavers :smt005

Here is a pic of work in progress

The swingarm needs to be shaved down to get it to fit into the LC frame first
Frame width is usually about 200mm inside edge so a few mm off each side normally does it.
Then decide on the ride height and make a template out of cardboard then onto alloy plate,i think I used 8mm
Mate came down and tack welded it while on bike then he took it away and welded it up fully

No more progress I'm afraid Jon :smt010

I do have my mitts on a UK frame at the moment as the project has a German frame so will require loads of paperwork :smt012

I have enquired about getting some powdercoating done though, that's a start :smt008

Ahh the old 'foreign frame' issue... The DVLA really shafted the old bike import market with that one :/

Well... dont mind me, Im not exactly a powerhouse of progress myself... If I spent less time posting on forums and more time building it would be a start, but.... er... LOL! Today I put the front end back on the XT including new speedo cable and some other parts. Progress of sorts.... :) I'll get round to the LC and RZ again once we have enough good days that I can move the bikes around the garage again I guess... or someone buys one of those thats for sale, hmm...

Love the LC bracket stuff BTW. Since I had a kit of parts for my LC from NK and then had them welded here I sort of know what you did, using the frame as the jig, as I did that too... i just didnt make my own parts. Cool to know you did that i reckon.

So you still planning to fit carbon sides from Tyga to this arm? Im still in two minds... its that or get the dents out for my 83 :/

Plan with the RGV swingarm was to get it powdercoated satin black then see if the dents marks are still visible on the banana side and if so flat it back fill it and have it sprayed in a matching paint.

Been using that simoniz tough black that seems like good stuff

Wow! With that retro paint the bike does not look like an LC. Very original.
Question: Why would you put a YPVS engine in a substandard frame? Just asking. I would go the other way and drop an LC into a YPVS frame.
