Folks,
I'm finally getting around to last few bolts on my RZ350 and have a question. As I've fried engine before, I want to make sure that the 1984 RZ350 has no ignition adjustment? IE, when I attach the stator-coil, am I correct in that it is not adjustable to affect timing? I don't see or feel it to be so but one can't be too careful. I've done some ign timing searches on the forum but never see anything discussing "setting the OE timing" for the engine. I even have a Yamaha manual and it never discusses setting the timing after/during the stator-coil reinstall.
Let me know what I'm missing. Once this thing is back up and running I may indeed go to a programmable ign system but baby steps first.
Many thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, there is no explicit adjustment.
You can still strobe it and there's a mark on the stator plate and the rotor.
The latter one has a H like marking. Left leg is around 20 degrees BTDC, so from idling to 3500 rpm the stator mark should wander between slightly left from the H to in between the H.

Martin,
Many thanks. Soon as it is running I'll strobe it and go from there.
