Central Texas is a big area. You might want to narrow it down a bit.

Are you familiar with the TWT website? There's a good chance that there's someone in your area that could lend a hand.

Good luck!

Thanks for the kind comments! I've learned a lot hanging out here with you 'smokers'.

If any of you pass through the north Texas area, the beer is on me!

Nice job.Are you happy with it? Thank you. I'm happy with it. It tracks true, pulls good, and looks OK. I'm just thrilled to get it back on the road after all this time. I forgot what that two-stoke rush was like. :smt003 I wasn't going for a full resto job, just wanted it to run well and look some...

TC's '84 RZ

Well, after about six months of on and off work, I have my RZ about where I want it. I bought it new in 1984 and promptly tore it up in a lowside crash in '86. It's been parked in the garden shed for all these years. I won't bore you with all the details of getting it back on the road. It was the us...

Oil capacity is 8.55 US oz. per leg. The manual says 10W-30 motor oil for the oil. I've known people to use 10W or 15W fork oil or even Mobil 1 ATF fluid.

Thanks! I figured what the heck, it doesn't work anyway.

My guess is most of the failures in the 29K is from bad solder joints instead of component failure.

I repaired my 29K CDI

Since I have a Zeeltronic unit on order and my current 29K CDI wouldn't work anymore, even with the 'stick across it mod', I decided to tear it open and see what I could do. First step was to discover what side the PCB was on. Top or bottom of the unit. I used a small screw driver to start picking a...

Well, I've been talking to Borut via email the past few weeks.

I went ahead and ordered a PCDI-10V unit along with the programmer unit. Should be here in the next 7-14 days.

I feel like a kid waiting on Christmas! :smt001
