wits end with RG500

Hi can any body please help me
as I am at my wits end with my RG500.(bare with me its a long story)
I will start at the beginning, I brought the bike from a dealer, which I traveled across sea and land to pick up,
when I arrived the guy told me he had some bad news in that he went to service the bike but could not get it running.
He said his mechanics had checked everything and was sure it was just the stator as the spark was virtually none existent, so said to me if you can come back next week I have another RG500 coming in so i will swap the stator, that was out the question for me as I had taken 2 days off work and spent £300+going to get it ,so I decided I would take the bike and he would send the stator, which he did but to no avail, he then sent the coils and cdi unit again all to no avail, remember these all come from a running bike? So I thought it must be carbs as I had changed all the electrics.
I then ordered a carb kit off ebay and fitted that, the bike burst into life but not for long
The plugs were getting fuel but the spark did seem very week.
I will phone Lance Gamma, after a very helpful conversation I checked the disc valves only to find they were out and would not time up
by now I am starting to lose the plot
there was only one thing left to do, take the motor to Stan Stephens and let him work his magic.
I live in the Channel islands so back across the water with the motor to Stan's workshop.
About 8 weeks later I picked the motor back up from Stan who told me the crank timing was out and one of the disc valves had been cut to compensate, sorted I thought![Very Happy ](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
Got back to Guernsey, put the motor back in the bike and started kicking, Bike would fire but not start
pilot jets, I had the exact same thing with my Honda NS400.
This I did and I put all original carb kit back with new float valves (genuine)and new choke cable carb screw guides as mine were split, set floats at 17mm etc.
First kick and away she went, but not for long, went down to 2 cylinders, both left cylinders cut out
I hadn't checked the fuel tap so checked that and found ok but the filter was split, but you cant buy just the filter so I had to get a very expensive new tap
New Plugs fitted went back through carbs as I can almost strip them blind folded now just to make double sure and again away she went on all 4 till the little bit of fuel I had in it run out.
topped up fuel and surprise surprise its back to normal, fires but wont start
so that is where I am, almost skint and back on suicide watch ![:smt009](./images/smilies/009.gif)
Also fitted new crank pick up.
Any ideas please
