Login issues

Ive seen this before on the other forums (and maybe here or the 350 forum?) over the years, but I cant seem to find the answer now... does anyone have a link?

So, the issue is that even if I leave the page of this forum up on chrome on my macbook for ever, it asks me to sign in every single time I refresh the page if its been an hour or more.

I run this and the 350 forum page with ‘new posts’ and refresh it when I want to see whats going on. Have done that for years and its been fine; the pages are there when i need em

Just this week the 500 forum is asking me to sign in pretty much every refresh. Even if I click 'remember me'... it, well, doesnt.

Weirdly, the 350 forum is fine.

Ive used the kill forum cookies link as well to no avail.

Then I cleared my cache... Sigh... Now ive lost all my pre fills, shortcuts and logins, but the problem persists.

Am I alone?

Try this jon,
Copy your Chrome profile to you desktop, Then uninstall, go to the Google folders in your profile and delete everything belonging to Google, In windows, do to the program files folders and delete them there and also in the program data folders.
Reinstall chrome and go to the forum and see if it works, If so, Copy back your favourites, passwords, etc from the desktop saved folder...

That's weird Jon. I can't help you at all. As great and helpful as these machines are sometimes they just do weird and fuked up stuff. I'm on a PC and while not related to your problem, this morning I noticed a new icon in my system tray. WTF. I hover over it and and it is meet now. Something Windows put on this machine when I did an update yesterday. It can't be removed per Google. Evil machines and companies they are but necessary dammit.
