These look brilliant. I used 3d software everyday at work (architect) and this has inspired me to try developing a few parts for my projects. Well done, and I can't wait to see the finished pieces.

Its Carbone&Composites Applications. If you google that, it comes up with his Facebook page. He did the exhaust sleeves for the recent NSR500 build doing the rounds on the internet a few months back. There's a guy in France who makes end cans with a similar carbon Kevlar mix. Ita got a lot more carbon in it than Kevlar so comes up quite dark. Good luck with the rest of the build. Going to be awesome!

Looking like it's going to be an awesome replica, if the Rainey bike's anything to go by. As a lover of all things Honda GP (own 2 NSR250s & 2 RS250s) can't wait to see how it turns out. Shame they never made a V4 replica. Good luck!

This is the period I like too, my plan being to use TZ 250 U bodywork to recreate the look. I've got a 3mA chassis, 3xv swinger and some Ducati Showa forks which look kinda similar to the 1989 bike. Can't wait to see a few more pictures of how your bikes progressing.

So Andy, do you machine up brackets that allow the RD engine to be fitted to the 3XV, without having to modify the chassis (I have seen this on an RG into an RGV chassis) or brackets that need to be welded into place?

Many thanks for all the feedback. So looks like it can be done then, even if not with a kick start. Although never tried to bump an RD500, the NSR/RS250s I have are easy enough. Also looks like the motor can be hung from the sides of the main frame, rather than using a cradle frame as with most 3MA ...

Through I'd quickly throw it out there...... anyone ever tried / seen / or heard of someone putting a 500 motor in 3XV chassis successfully?
