still progressing.... manufactured a headlight mount as it needs to be stationary for the full fairing....

fairings have had final fitting... and i have installed 1/4 turn fastener kit... final shaping and paint of fairings ... not such an easy job all this custom brackets etc...
2 sets of hands needed and time.... i really think its on the home srtaight...

its a side line job with a mate... on the cheap when he and i can fit in time...

G'day Aaron. Really looking forward to a comprehensive ride report. Iv'e been trolling the forum for everything stroker crank and athena etc. Read lots of builds that seem to sign of the day they get on the road. Keen to know more about the performance of these motors. Hope your painter does a magic job.

g'day race fans. I was going to post how fast i had my tank and front gaurd painted. I had second thoughts because my mother once told me if you haven't got something positive to add you best keep quite. Seems jon w caught my post that i removed. so truck it i'll say what i had to say. I had my tank and front gaurd painted by a local motorcycle repainter. the tank was dented and had a rattle can paint job. the gaurd was ok just old original paint. I dropped them of on monday, was called on the thursday to say job was done. Ok $550 to paint both. The yamaha on the tank is paint not a decal. Faultless job. I was tempted to paint it myself but i figured i save allot of money by doing all my mechanical work and by refurbishing old parts, so i decided to pay the gun to do the job. It's allways hard to get the mate to do the job because he allways has the paying costomer ahead of you. Also bit hard to complain if its sub standard. My thinking is you only have to do it once (hopefully) so do it right. I have followed your build for so long Arron that i feel frustrated (selfishly) that you have to wait so long for a paint job on a bike that has so much other work in it. Was it last christmas that you first fired up the BITCH. Hope it's getting close mate.. Image

That paint is really nice and I think we deserve to see another pic or two. With the glare it's a bad angle. I can't see the colour contrast very well.
