RD350B

#1 Post by RZ350GUY » Sun Mar 24, 2024 3:42 pm

Hi Team:

Apologies in advance for asking or posting in the wrong forum.
Does anyone know if it is possible to get the Yamaha R1 spedo/tacho dash to work on the RD350B? I am building mine into a cafe racer style RD, along with the Vape/MZB iggy.
Has anyone ever used the electronic dash from any modern Japanese bike on their Air Cooled RD's? Appreciate the guidance.

Cheers,

Daryl

I'd throw in using Koso RX1 / 2 units as they come close to what you're after:

They come with a manual and you can get several additional sensors like CHT

My favorite gadget from Koso: the speed sensor that replaces the stock speedometer shaft:

The tach signal is easy as the old RDs use a points ignition that has a useable signal on the HT primary side.
Bye

I agree with MK on this. I have KOSO on a 350 and 500. However, if you need an R1 gauge I have one in perfect condition I purchased xx years ago. Ready to ship to anywhere in the US.
