#1 Post by will-engineer » Fri Jul 15, 2022 11:23 am

Does anyone use it? What's de real gain between the STD reed Cage and V-Force 4 for use to RD 350?

Why V-force 4 has the 4 windows in your Cage and whats the function this?

I've used the v-force reeds on my MX bikes and like the results. There is a kink in the angle of the carb to cylinder air path on the MX bike because of the shock and air-box position. I think the window pane design is designed to straighten the air flow. My brain says that any obstruction would limit air-flow.....but I can't argue with the result on my KX250. Is that picture of an actual RZ350/Banshee V-Force reed cage? The RZ carbs mount with a fairly straight line, so I am curious if that is a generic "stock photo" for a bike that has a kink in the air flow.

Here are a couple better pictures of the V-Force-4 4144-2 reeds for banshee. Maybe this will help you see. The MotoTassanari product description talks quite a bit about the new design. You can call them directly and speak to one of their techs sometimes you might even get the company owner.

They look like chinese fakes to me as the aerofoil in the centre isnt rounded off like the originals.

You could be right about the fake Chinese knock-offs. For the record, the pictures above, even if fake product, demonstrate the "window pane" design opening and it's purpose to straighten air-flow.
Here are a couple videos of the reeds showing the carb side opening:

In the video below a guy compares the the fake to real ones.. At about 3:20 and at about 4:20 in the video he shows the two from the carb side so you can get a good idea of that intake "window"
