R6 gauge cluster swap to RZ

#1 Post by NeilRZR » Mon Oct 11, 2021 8:00 pm

Its been years.....
I'm pretty sure someone did this swap. Possibly from a 2T site that is no more.

Second, I thought someone fitted a Vapor Trail set.

Trying to finish a project before I turn 65 !

Thanks to any and all. Neil

Verify redline is where you want it to be. IIRC that's why some go with the R1 cluster.

I used R1 and just put some red electrical tape cut neatly to make redline. Even with my arts and crafts skills it wasn't hard to do.

You can use the R6 speedometer and write R1 data to the 93C46 eprom. Might as well put the correct mileage for your bike in there too.

The Rev counter will now be scalled as an R1, so you will also need to switch the revcounter face. This works with 98 to 2001 model years.
