There's nothing wrong with Wiseco pistons, as long as you allow for the greater expansion rate of forged vs cast when boring the cylinders. Personally, I prefer cast pistons as they are usually lighter.

Slowly plucking away at this when I have time. Cylinders off, and pistons are out. Lots of piston transfer, which I'm sure would hone out. I do notice little horizontal pits in the sleeves near some of the ports, that I've never seen before on any of my dirt bikes. Would anyone have insight as to what would cause this? They fail the fingernail test, so, I think I'll have to bore them. The head looks good, but again, there are pinhole pits in each dome.
In regards to the cracks in the case a couple posts above. Would It be best to send it out to be welded before I crack it open to prevent it from warping? This is where any advice would be appreciated.
