I'm into all kinds of motorsports. Mostly bikes though. I just recently picked up a really nice 4800km, final year (Canada) RZ350. I'm just refreshing it now. It still has original tires..lol. I can't wait until it's done and spring is here.

I do have a couple of questions if someone could help me out with..

-What type of grease is best for powervalve assemblies?
-Anyone know of good quality hardened aluminum rear sprocket options? I'm planning 16t front and 41 rear.
-Would anyone happen to know a good base line carb tune for the following planned mods: JL pipes, V4 reeds, Y intake with K&N filter, minor port clean up, with stock Canadian carbs. I'm low elevation too.

Great forum! I'm still finding my way around.

Cheers!

Welcome to the forum. Nice first post.

Bin the y-boot/K&N and use a modified stock airbox. You'll have easier and better tuning and superior results.

With a modified stock airbox, and assuming you have the correct 1UA Powerjet carbs, Y-2 head, and 1UA cylinders:

320 mains
30 pilots
Throttle stops 2 1/2
Air screws 1 3/4
Needle (5L20) on 2nd clip (from top)

This comes from my book and was used on an 89 of mine with the same specs as yours. I had a milled head and mild porting. The ref above was perfect for me at low altitude in Eastern Ontario.

Is it just the lighting, or is your upper fairing really Suzuki RG Blue?

Hi! Welcome.

Great looking bike. Pretty rare thing to find any 2 stroke street bike with such low mileage.
Glad I didn't end up with it, would be nothing like its original self.
Keep the updates going. Good luck with it.

Nice find! There can't be many left in that condition. Couldn't guess what you paid. Have to agree with John, no Y boot. I have one but mine came that way. No grease on the power valves, the 2-stroke oil takes care of them.
Red/White US '84, Spec II pipes, Y-boot w/K&N, Fox Shock, Mikuni carbs?

Thanks!! Sorry for late response I didn't get a notification. I'll have to check my settings.
Yeah the front fairing was repainted. I need to bring back to spec on that.

Been down the Faraway Blue path many times. New Holland Blue is a match.
