RZ350 Microsquirt fuel injection

#1 Post by SteeleFalcon » Tue Apr 07, 2020 6:53 am

Been along time since i posted anything. I finally got the efi fitted and running still needs a tune but it starts and runs.
Most of the sensors are recomended by microsquirt to make calibration easy.I am running the fuel control only. As a ignetch dccdip2 controls the spark and power valve.but this will work with the stock rz ignition also as we get the tach signal from same trigger sensor.
Components used.

1. Microsquirt EFI controller
2 . GM coolant sensor
3.GM air temp sensor
4. MPX4250 map sensor
5.Innovate LC-1 wide band sensor with MTX GAUGE
6.Suzuki Burgman 650 32mm throttle bodies cut in half and a flexi joint to join the shafts.
7. Custom manifolds Burgman to RZ
8. Walbro 255L fuel Pump
9. Suzuki gsx 750 primary 225cc Injectors

2nd but not part of the above

1. Ignitech CDCDI P2 RACE
2. 2stroke shop stator and rotor
3 RGV 250 throttle splitter box for 2nd tps and 2 stroke oil pump cable.
4. Vapour dash
these inclusions will help under stand the wiring diagram. All wires not needed are deleated ie self cancelling indicators.
HERE IS ALL MY INFO IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED.

Photos will follow soon

In case you didn't come across this anyway :
I run a pretty similar setup in my EFI 350, but didn't document it that professionally.
A few pics are @ rd350.gmxhome.de (choose EFI in the menu on the left)

Hi Martin i bought a tuning manual off years ago. i started with the r6 throttl bodies but let it go and years later came up with this. Do you still have any Fuel VE tables. you sent me your files years ago but not compatable with the microsquirt

Meanwhile I'm using a Microsquirt instead of the MiniMS.

No air filters?
I'm running a modified stock airbox in order to fulfill noise regulations.
(As a reward it has been approved road legal in Germany)

Any issues with using your wideband sensor?
I was unable to get a consistent reading. Inspecting the sensor it would have spots of oil spattered on it which I assume is causing the sensor to read abnormally. Maybe a different position would help. Possibly a leaner tune would have less issues.
My wideband uses an LSU4.2 and they’re not exactly cheap for experimentation.

If it's purchased lately, it'll be a LSU 4.9.
The 4.2 type is kind of outdated.

Either type will work the same way with your engine concerning durability or misreading.

It’s probably the newer version.
I have an LM1 which I believe was one of innovate’s first W/B units. Definitely outdated but still works and integrates with HPTuners.

took the bike for the 1st test ride today some mid range flat spots but runs better up top. It's a bit difficult cause have to tune the ignition module and the power valve as well
