Has anyone using a metal impeller had a failure? That is the question, I know the stock one's go at lease 35,000 K but not sure about the metal ones.

Ok, FYI guys, I ordered a new OEM impeller because my stocker was a bit warped and was scraping the cover. I thought it may have been heat damaged or something.
Well the new one is a different color plastic (translucent white versus original dark green), and they changed the spacing so the new one does not touch the cover. In fact, it doesn't even extend past the face where the gasket rests, so even if there were no gasket it would not touch the cover. And yes I made sure to push it outwards against the drive pin. It appears that the drive hole is basically in a slightly different spot to suck it in further.
