18 inch race tires.

I am looking for some help regarding tires. I plan to race the bike with the stock wheels and would like to hear what tires have been working the best. Can 18 inch race rubber be found? So far all I see to fit the stock wheels are touring tires.

I really like the heidenau's. However the Avons are super sticky but don't last as long. Other guys swear by the Conti's. So I guess you could say they are all good.

Conti radials. Best tires I've ever run on an LC.

Personally, I Love the Avons - Note that there are several race compounds available in addition to the street tires...
Any of the modern tires mentioned are way better than what we rode on when these bikes were new.

I've been running the Avon super venom am18 race.
Very sticky but somewhat odd when @ max lean.
The wear pattern shows some strange things happening too.
Go with the conti's.
