They seem pretty good and I really should have done a dyno run before I fitted the carbs just to see what the 865 barrels turned out
They get bad press compared to the FCR flatslides which is a bit unfair IMO

One small niggle I'm having is when I "blip" the throttle to change down gear etc, I just get no response from the throttle
Don't know which part of carb to adjust to get a clean "blip" if you know what I mean ?

I'm rubbish at maths , so could someone please give me the gains in percentage over the original figures

So original 54bhp now 69bhp
44 foot pounds original and 59 ft pounds afterwards

thats about a 28% gain in bhp and a 34% gain in torque

Managed to get a matching alloy rear Thruxton wheel at last

Came from a bike with 500 miles as seller was fitting different wheels, so good tyre too

The later style wheel has a different hub to accept "straight" spokes to stop the spokes breaking which was a problem with the earlier wheels which had a right angled spoke design where they were attached to the hub

Custom sprocket cover which is much lighter than the original one

Got some new tank badges , the "garden gate" or "mouth organ" style and removed rear pegs

The new badges are bigger though , so gained some weight !

Installed an oil temperature gauge that fits in place of the filler cap
