Fuse box damaged

#1 Post by valhalla850i » Wed Jul 19, 2023 6:25 pm

So on my journey to bring back this RZ350 I've uncovered another issue. The fuse box is damaged and the YPVS is directly wired. I am thinking either somehow repair the fuse box or put an inline fuse for the YPVS? Thoughts?

I am in the midst of fixing/restoring/retro-modding an 86 Canadian RZ, the fuse box fell to pieces, I replaced it with a 4 circuit fuse box ==> http://www.cycleterminal.com/mp280-fuse-box.html
Got the idea from this forum. Any good idea I got was from here to be honest.

@mstoop @JonW thank you both for the ideas, I'll check them both out this weekend.

My bike was wired the same way when I got it!
I just bought a glass fuse block similar to the one pictured below from a local hardware store.
I cut-off one of the terminal sections and epoxied it into place on the original fuse panel. I don't think I even bothered with the rivet and it has remained solid.
It was a 10 minute job and it allowed me to keep the original fuse box and lid.
