Toomey, Toomey, Toomey

Hello. Just trying to tune this rz-350 I restored. Any of you guys using the ground needles from Toomey? and are they really necessary over stock needles?
Toomey wants $80 for them and a couple of jets. My bike has Toomey pipes, Toomey Y-Tube air cleaner, and vortex reeds. The bike came with #420 main, #25 pilot, and OEM needle on 3rd clip down. Am I really at risk of engine damage like Toomey states without their ground needles? I appreciate your time.

I bought the whole Toomey kit and it came with those needles and jets, which I don't need. (Canadian carbs on my bike.) I'll send them to you for half what Toomey wants if you wish. They're untouched.
