pingle gas tap adapter

hi All, i got a pingle tap with reserve and have made an adapter .

my question is i see the banshee taps have a rubber gasket pad.
now i can mill the groove needed for an 3 mm /1/8 o-ring or i could use a rubber pad.
do you think there is any advantage to either.
also the adapters to fit the reserve taps are not available in the hole pitch to suit the rd350lc tanks

Pingle gaskets are cheap and should work for your homemade adapter. I'm guessing the Pingle gaskets will work very well. The green gasket in the pic is from Pingle.



Do you know why the reserve petcock won't fit on the standard adapter?

Thanks ,the reserve taps come with a 3/8 NPT thread and the adapters with the correct hole pitch for the LC tank are 1/4 npt.

after i posted this i looked again at the pingle site and i must of missed it.
because i now see they do carry the correct ones.
oh well i have made it now might as well use it.

Well i called pingle to order a rubber pad gasket.
And they were very helpful and said they would post a couple out to me free of charge
I was pleasantly surprised .
what great customer service.

i had to enlarge the center hole a little to suit the larger gas tap thread.
but 2 mins with a craft knife and i was good to go.
