Just sold on ebay.

I can guarantee you the miles shown is not original to the bike. Check the faded parts and foam strip above gauges. The patina on the stickers, gauges needles, parts tells a different story. Plus has a hacked rear fender, wrong turn signals and mirrors. Missing reflectors on radiator cover. Over $500 of parts there to return to stock- and that is if you can even find those parts in super nice shape.

That front left turn signal bracket looks funky. Was it down?

$14k Gives new meaning to the phrase "an ass for every seat."
As a former dealer the BIG ISSUE I noticed is that the owner checked the box that says "The amount of mileage is in excess of 99,999 miles."
This is a very common mistake that private sellers make when transferring a title. People fail to read! That said, most would agree this bike doesn't have 100k miles on it AND there is an unchecked box for the more common disclaimer "The odometer reading is not the actual mileage."

This value does reinforce my own theory that clean mods that were popular at the time of the bikes production will not crush the resale value.
The solo seat alone is an item that has sold recently on ebay for as much as $1500.
Apparently the buyer feels that non-standard turn signals, missing reflectors and mirrors, a boost bottle cross-over, and a modified fender and pegs are all minor issues. The fuel tank and cowl look band new and are the most expensive hard-to-replace items.
I wouldn't pay that much but I would be tempted to sell one of mine with similar mods at that price if I had that offer.

I'm disappointed. This now looks like ebay shenanigans to me.
It would be interesting to be able to see how many different bidders there really were on the auction for the Yellow RZ.
Did the owner scam the high bidder by running-up the one and only bidder with a fake account? Did he out-bid himself in testing the high? What was the high point where other bidders dropped out? There doesn't seem to be any new information in the relisting that would indicate the over 100k miles box on the title was a sticking point. No new disclosure about condition.
I take a real interest in this bike because my bikes are similar, excellent condition with only minor changes and original parts still on the shelf.
