Looking for custom length dog-bones

#1 Post by 2smokin » Sat Apr 11, 2020 10:28 am

Hi everyone, hope everyone is staying safe in these uncertain times.

I have a rz350 with a 86-88 fz600 swing-arm. I’m in need of some custom length dog-bones to get the rear of the bike raised up a bit more.

Anyone know where I might find a set? Or who I could get to make me a set? I would like them to be billet.
Thanks in advance

Mate I can make you a set, but I'm in Australia.

Are you using all the RZ components with the FZ600 swingarm?
If RZ style it would be best to make it out of steel.

I can make them but it might be easier to have a competent welder shorten the dogbones for you.

Thinking about it. What shock are you using?
When I did my FZ600 swingarm I used an F4i shock and had too much ride height.

This was discussed on norbos forum only a few weeks back, someone found an ebay listing with all sorts of lengths on it. Worth a search.

I am using fz600 swingarm fz600 dogbones with rz350 linkage. I decided to do a different route and use a longer shock.

Thanks, I haven’t checked on here in a month or so, so I didn’t see these replies but I went a different route and went with a longer shock. After reading lots how shortened dog bones affect how the shock compresses.
