Good day
this is my first post in this Forum, although member of the rz500 section since many years. Have an RD350 F 1986 to which have, many years ago, mount the fz600 swingarm. The bike sat in the garage and was not driven since years. This winter decided to service it an drive it again. Now the problem : In order to achieve the proper ride height the original rz350 dogbones were shortened and welded as it was common procedure in that type of conversion, however, due to the different lenght and pivot point, the shock only work up to abt half of its stroke (possibly less). Does anyone experience the same issue ? Any idea how to overcome the problem ? Currently the bike mounts an Ohlins rear shock for rz 350.
Many tks
Best

Re: fz600 swingarm conversion trouble
When I did the conversion, I used the fz dog bones, but had to remove enough material so the bottom of the shock would clear. It is functional, but not super pretty. Nice parts so far btw!
