Trying to paste a link here from photobucket.

http://s1190.photobucket.com/user/honda ... 5859637814" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Edit: I just checked the link and it works. The picks are of my "Land of the rising sun" painted '87 RZ350, truck load of bike and parts, the original cracked head and head repaired...also before and after head clean-up.

My 22 year old son, loves the paint. Not me. That'll have to be changed.

Whoever did it did a nice job, but I agree with you, it's pretty awful. I'd be happier with a single colour done with Tremclad and a foam roller than that odd rising sun/pinwheel effect.

After seeing what so many of you guys have done, I'm very inspired to get at it. It will not be a very quick process for me as my wife is at the forefront right now. I have a bike and that's half of it.
If I was working, I'd head 3 hours north to buy Reg's collection of bikes and parts. Play day will come. So will work again.

Thanks for posting those John!

Here are some horrible shots of the old LC, TZ, RZ500, phone pics of the originals. I will update once I get hold of a scanner.

Later on today, I'm going to see another RZ350. Not a very pretty specimen, but complete. I'll let you know if I add another to the two I currently have.

Ok, so I pulled the trigger. Seized top end, all new bottom end seals. After the rebuild he forgot to fill the cooling system, got half a block down the road.
I'll get pics up asap, need to get new batteries for the camera,as my phone will not upload. I'm going to need a new handle, UglyRZ, as all mine are in dire need of work.
On the up side, the bike is complete. Painted black and grey, but all there.

Heh Rory, aka UglyRZ. Saw your RZ for sale on Calgary Kijiji for about $1500 in Dec/Feb? Spoke to the owner and he advise me it had been dropped and had some faring damage and perhaps other issues- so, I passed. Thought I saw some photos on your bike, on another form, as the paint scheme is quite unique. Look forward to see how it works out for you - Scott.

Hi Scott, I don't think there are many of these bikes that have not been dropped. Hard to keep the rubber side down for 24+ years, + perhaps multiple owners. I know of an '85 with 15k on it, never seen rain according to the original owner, garage queen. $5000.
The ugly one, black and grey, was on for $1600. I picked it up for $600. Complete F2, seized. The fairing is mostly, great. I'm happy.
The wild paint bike is a fresh rebuit and runs great, still needs attention. It came with a good load of spares, was asking $1800 paid $1600. I'm currently drilling a damper bolt, so I can pull the 2nd fork apart.
