Definiety more pics from the event, pleeze
Yesterday was a beautiful, sunny, clear day, about 60° here in Livermore and in SF.

But all my riding buddies bailed out and didn't want to make the journey up. :smt022

I was not going to go but then decided WTF, just drive up :smt003

I figured I would take a gazillion pictures for fun so I grabbed my camera and some snacks and hit the road.

Frame maker warned me that this event is held in what is maybe not the best part of town. He was right about that. Driving in wasn’t so bad. Driving out the folks in the hood were fixing their cars 2 wide in the street making for a single lane to get out.

I have to shorten my story so…

I pulled up and parked and began walking down the street to the event. I pulled my camera out to chronicle my whole time here. I turned the camera on and the camera said

NO FLASH CARD

What a stooge. :smt009 I left it in my computer. So sorry no pics from me.

But I found a utube that will give a good taste of what it was like, enjoy

Oh yes, NSFW (you have been warned)

One more tidbit, when the DB bikes arrived they come flying down a side street and haul ass right in to the crowd to get to where you see them doing burnouts. One of the leader guys, not on a DB bike but on a late model blacked out Harley, hit his rear brake as he made the turn in to the crowd off of the street and proceeded to high side. He flew off the bike on to the asphalt landing at the feet of a bunch of spectators. Fortunately he was OK and got right up. Ouch. :smt018

It looks like there are a whole bunch of utubes now

silverstrom said in another posting something about being snowed in [smilie=cold.gif] and wanting some video...

Here is my first gopro try. You might have to be pretty bored to watch the whole thing, but if you like beautiful 2 stroke music you might just watch it. It's shaky (I fixed the bracket today), you have been warned, so don't make fun of my video or you might hurt my feelings :smt098

It seems to have lost some resolution in the transition to you tube. I watched it for a bit and then saw that I could change the resolution to HD and it was better. But it is best viewed not at full screen.

I used windows movie maker to do some edits. I have a bit to learn.

If anyone has any constructive criticism, ie., how to do this better, quicker, what (free) software to use (I won't buy any). :smt100

When I get a little more time I'll edit a (shorter) second half of the ride for your viewing pleasure.

Have a Happy and SAFE New Year

Here is another attempt from a New Years Day ride.

Less shaking but I still have work to do mounting the camera to eliminate all the vibration. :smt012

Thanks Aaron for fixing the photo's. I haven't gotten that down yet. We came up on this accident minutes after it happened. It was a bunch of young gentlemen, of Asian decent, on drive in their tuner BMW's and Porsches. It was kind of funny more money the ablilty.

The ironic thing is that is my exact 993 to the "t" same colors, wheels and year. For a minute I thought who stole my car!! no it is home in the gargage thank god. I did play a trick on some of my friends teillng them I F*&*%d up and had a little accident over the week end.

Hey kpke.

Cool video. Thanks for the ride along. :smt023
Man, that looks like a fun road. Wish I was there.

After the show was over, I got a bit depressed.
It's still going to be 3 months before the weather up here gets nice enough to ride. :smt010

Mr. Ward, thanks for the compliment dood. :smt002 Since you are not coming to California to ride maybe I should go to Georgia to hook up on your turf (asphalt) for a ride. :smt006

Mr. vmxwinn, call me, email me, pm me. Lets ride sometime. And we can watch exotic vehicles fly off of Mines Road. [smilie=dry3.gif]

Mr. Off Road, you have no time to be depressed. You need to finish the low budget purple project. Now, get to work so when the sun comes out you can [smilie=scooter.gif] . Also, if I remember right, you have meds that will at least temporarily get rid of your depression. :smt033

And just for the snowedin/rained in crowd see if you can watch all 20 minutes of this

Another episode forthcoming from todays ride if I get to it. :smt006
