Here are some pics I can contribute.. most from the Livermore area as well! All taken in the past year or so.

Similar to kpke's picture.. on the way to Del Valle. Livermore valley and Mt. Diablo fill the background.

Image

This is on Flynn Rd. in the middle of all the energy generating wind mills. The hills between Livermore and Tracy are full of wind mills.

Image

Same road just a mile or so behind, near the freeway. This is actually my other two stroke, 1982 Honda MB5

Image

Here is the RZ on Mines Rd. There is no vista view here but I'd say this might be the highest point of the road until you start heading up Mt. Hamilton.

Image
Image

Small ride out to the defunct Nike Silo testing area in San Ramon.

Image

Two stroke group ride (Bay Area Two Strokes) out in Big Basin in the Santa Cruz mountains.

Image

One last picture of my MB5.. this is at the top of Tesla Rd. which leads to Carnegie dirt bike park where kpke visited!

Image

Now these last two are not very scenic pictures, but they were taken at the Junction (store between Livermore and San Jose) just a few days ago. Got my bike dyno tests during the City Bike event they held. 54hp at redline, woohoo!

Hope everyone enjoyed the pics!

Nice pictures toonbobo. (copycat) :smt003

I wish I would've known about that city bike meet up at the junction. I was out riding Sunday morning and was wondering why there were so many bikes going up Mines Road. Damn it :smt010

10/20/12 more Livermore pics. :smt006

It was very cold today but I braved it and went for a ride to take more pics.

It had to be just barely over 70 degrees. Burrrr...freezing cold darn weather :smt011

Started out going to frame makers (shop) house. I needed a bracket welded for the 500. Thanks frame maker :smt023 You are a nice fellow indeed :smt002

He is building an air cooled 400 for the annual Dirt Bag Challenge. You Tube it.

He made sure to let me know the front end will be changed "stay tuned" he said with a :smt003

I was going to take pretty fall color pics of the vineyards but the colors aren't quite there yet. Next time. So further out to the country I go...

Overlooking the city of Tracy (it's out there somewhere) on Patterson Pass Road.

Image

I think this is Midway Road but not sure.

Image

Maybe I will make that tanker truck my next "restore" project :smt018

Amazingly the fan blade on the engine was spinning away from the wind

Image

A power distribution plant out in the middle of nowhere land

Image

Up close. Got to distribute all the f'in green energy them windmills produce

Image

Coming back on PP Rd. Some of you might remember this same pic with the y/b bike I posted a couple years ago.

Image

Found the y/b pic just for fun

Enjoy your weekend gents :smt001

11/3/12

Took a few more pics today trying to get some fall colors of the vineyards.

I think I have found that I am not a photographer. Or maybe I can just blame it on the crummy camera.

The colors just don't look as good in these pics as being there.

Oh well, I'll just post em up cuz we all like photos.

Here is 1 horsepower. There was 2 but one walked away.

This is the VA hospital here in Livermore. It's up on a hill by the beautiful Wente Vineyard golf course.

This is the view some friends of ours have on their spectacular 5 acre ranch. The vineyards are not on their property but borders it. Very nice place. Wish it was mine.

Funny the mention of a 5 acre ranch in California. A real ranch is 10,000 acres in Texas. I do understand that 5 acres in California is probably as expensive as 10k in Texas... :smt003

Yes, beautiful area and roads. My experience in driving in California is even on a good curvy road, too much traffic in front to really get to test it out. There are exceptions and these pics prove it.... :smt002
