Tried it and it all went Russian after a few clicks which is worrying...

I have used megazip and also amayama for car parts successfully, they look similar but are less flaky.

Yes, noted the Russian beside the Japanese. Interestlingly when one wants to obtain a password for ordering bike parts, there was an order for parts prefilled (?) on the application page. When I went to zero out the total for $28 US payment, it would not erase. Sketchy sences went off and and dumped the application.

Good company to deal with! Fast response to questions.

I ordered a pair of new coils for my RG500 from them. Paid up front for the part with Paypal. They order the part in for you, about 4-5 days. then you get an email ....Ready to Ship, with the shipping cost and you pay that with a Paypal second payment. I got a follow-up email that the final shipping was an additional $1.60 from what they quoted when they posted at the post office, so had to pay that. No big deal. They don't gouge you on the shipping and handling.

Part was here in less than a week. Landed in Canada, no tax, no duties. This was half the cost of buying the coils from my local Suzuki dealer!!!! who would order them in and you get a 6 week wait!
I was well pleased.

Their website is a bit strange as it defaults to Russian on some pages, this is because most of their business is with shipping parts to Russia for all the thousands of Japanese cars that get exported there. No they are not the Russian mafia!!! Just click on the bike fiche and order from there.

Dealing with the Japanese is great as they are so honest. If you have ever been to Japan you will know that in a crowded cafe you can go to the washroom and leave your phone/wallet/handbag/shopping on the table and it will still be there when you get back. Seen this many times! Nice people, I would move there if not for the food.

Ordering bikebandit or motosport.com or other will also save you half the cost of your local dealer. Fortnine will likely save you half the cost on tires.

I have had the opposite experience buying from Japan. They look to take advantage of foreigners and you will be nickle and dimed for parts that are worse than represented and end up much more expensive than expected.

I think some of those Japan auction sites catering to overseas buyers are run by ex-pats living in Japan seeking to make a good dollar on overseas sales, and yes some of those guys charge an arm and a leg for shipping and handling, I was talking about Impex.

Another good experience I had was with Keyster , the japanese company who make the jetting kits for two strokes. I wanted some unobtanium front carb gaskets for the RG500 and did not want to buy the whole kit. Emailed them. Got a personal reply from the president, sold me the gaskets for $20 and postage. Big letter of thanks when I paid and a follow up letter when I received them! This is what I call customer service!

In the US I find Boats net hard to beat for pricing, but the worthless Canadian peso makes everything 30% more.... and they don't sell RG500 parts. Fortnine price tires very competitively, but watch out.... they sold me last years stock! Tires were already a year old when I bought some from them. :smt018

Do you have the part number? Search on that rather than the bike, you may find it locally.

Part numbers should work as Jon suggested. I have to work with this for all TZR parts as they were not sold in US and the Cdn bike stores use US fiches.

I check my local Yamaha dealer for it (717-12411-00-00) and it was non existent. Kinda makes sence since this item is only available in Japan.

have you googled it? forgte your local dealer, they tend to do a quick search on their own system and give up.

Partzilla is same company as boats.net. Parts often arrive in a boats.net box! Usually very good prices. Hard to beat on a small item.
