RD350 LC Film
Sorry for posting a link as a first post, but I was recently lucky enough to make a film about the LC
and it totally blew me away. Especially after having made other films about superbikes from the seventies
like the Z1 and CB750.
I’d be really interested to hear what you all think of it:

That was awesome. Although I always thought the OEM brakes were crap. Still love my LC.

Re: RD350 LC Film
I liked the film (said so elsewhere where its being talked about) but have to agree with Hooly, the standard 350 brakes were not anything good at all.
Of course I also love my LCs, and have a bog standard one in my collection, but im not blind to the fact they werent perfect from the factory.
One thing that is worth noting was that the 250 was 99% responsible for the changing of the UK learner rules to make the biggest bike you could ride on L plates a 125. That says it all in cult circles, even if it was simple the catalyst for the actual change. A leaner's 250 that did 100mph (even if it took its time) was too much for the 'man'.

Re: RD350 LC Film
I run a set of Blue Spot calipers, gripping new slotted disks (the German ones), steel lines and a modern master cylinder (don't remember which one but it outwardly resembles the OEM LC part). Now these are the brakes the LC deserves. They are powerful and confidence inspiring without being grabby or otherwise ludicrous. While they are obviously a long way from stock, they make riding the bike so much more fun because the worry about not having enough brakes when you need them is entirely gone.
I also run Conti Attack radial tires which completely transform the usually wiggly, unpredictable feel of the skinny old bias plies, also making the riding experience so much better.
From 10 feet away my bike looks pretty much stock but its quite a long way from it in ride and handling.

I like the wiggles too... its personality.
Re: RD350 LC Film
I think these bikes have loads of personality without the crappy bias ply tires.

That was excellent.
The brakes in the day were excellent as well. I used to stop at Stop signs with my rear tire a metre off the ground. Modern brakes are much better these days, but those double discs did the job.
