Having had many crashes on dirt bikes hitting small bits of ice I know how unpredictable it is and fast you go down. Sometimes you can slide it out but often on the ground before you know what happened.
Ridden a few dirt races in the ice/snow as well without studs. Possibility of ice on the street and i'm out. Then again, not a ton of riding this year.
What temperature do you put the bike away for the winter?

yeah I didn't ride a lot this year either. 3-4 thousand miles maybe. Most years 15K+. But my commute is a mutha.

I'm putting mine away next weekend. We might have some nice fall days, but once October hits, if I have free time my butt is in a treestand and not on a motorcycle seat. The pains of having more than one (several) hobbies that cost time and money.
