The new pipe is very nice, but I have to be honest.

The shorter pipe looked more bad ass. Not the whole bulky pipe, just the short end barely sticking out.

Also, I wouldn't install a free-flowing pipe without the ECU flash, or Dynojet 5. Highly doubt the engine will be running right with the pipe change.

Just my opinion. Keep up the good work! :smt023
Thanks Smoker!
Everyone has different tastes in styling, I just didn't like the looks of the short ones. The only one I do like is on the factory MotoGP Yamaha's. :smt023
But I don't think my neighbors would appreciate the volume on that one!! :smt003

And I just hit the first service mileage, so after that gets done I'll be having the ECU flashed by https://2wheeldynoworks.com/

You say you like the weather down here. I like the green up there (although you pay the price with rain). We are about 50% and closing on all of the hills turning brown. :smt012

I'm glad to see you're enjoying that new bike. My son is about ready to get a new steed after his crash last fall. I have him convinced on FZ9. Is the engine on your bike the same exact engine? The more I look at yours the more I like it. :smt007

And as you know don't neglect that RZ. They're very temperamental when left unloved. :smt042

:smt039
Yes Ken,
It's the same motor as the FZ 09. I love it, super smooth, lots of power and torque!! :smt040

And the RZ will be getting some much needed exercise very soon..... :smt023

Took the RZ out for a 40 mile loop today. Went over to check out the PDX Coffee & Cars in Wilsonville. This was their opening weekend and it was crowded!!
It's amazing how many people have so much disposable income to afford some of these cars.... :smt017 Being a blue collar working stiff, I guess I'll just stick with bikes. :smt023

I got to talk with a few guys that were impressed with the RZ. One thought it was actually a Japanese import model. :smt003
They all wished they had kept the smokers they had in their younger days. I tried to get more pics, but the people kept getting in the way. August is when motorcycles will be featured and I'll be heading to that one.

Here's a few. Enjoy

Not sure what this was. Pretty cool though.

You are correct about it being an Ultima Jon. I thought it was a "kit car" of some sort, but I was way wrong on that one after checking out your link. :smt023

Glad to see you got out on the RZ Charlie!

These bikes get a bit of attention don't they?

Same car?

Ken,
Yeah, that would be the same car. Different color and maybe options too. I guess it just depends on how much money you want to spend on it! :smt023

Nice "green" Charlie. We are about 95% brown now.

Great pics. Sure would like to go up there for a ride some day!!!

I was watching XSR videos the other day. Nobody seems to have much negative on that bike. And they seem to like to wheelie :smt005

I want (need?) one. A yellow and black one :smt047

Another trip on the RZ today to Wilsonville for the Coffee and Cars. Last time I went I didn't get any pics because it was really crowded.
The one car I did see there that week was this one....it takes a pretty fat bankroll to drive one of those!! :smt047

Enjoy the pics...

This car belongs to Alan Hartman who is a Studio Manager for Turn 10 at Microsoft. I believe they made the Forza GT game for Xbox.

Finally got out for a great Sunday ride with my buddy Mark on his new XSR 900. ( He liked riding mine so much, he had to have his own!) :smt003
I rode the RZ since I'm having my ECU flashed on the XSR. The weather was perfect and the roads were great!! :smt023

We met up in Portland then crossed the river to ride Washington State side. It was a nice ride up the Washougal River to Dugan Falls. From there we kept going up the gorge with a stop at Bonneville Dam, then stopped for lunch in Cascade Locks (Oregon side). Hopped back across the river and down the Washington side towards home.

It was about 140 mile round trip all together and the bike ran awesome. It still amazes me how much fun you can have on a nearly 35 year old bike!! :smt041 :smt026 :smt045

Anyway, here's some pics......

I got out for another ride today on the XSR. I rode up to the Vista House on Crown Point in the Columbia River Gorge. Another gorgeous day in the PNW. :smt003
The wind was blasting pretty good up there.... probably 30-40 mph gusts. I was a little worried my bike would stay standing when I walked away from it.

Lots of windsurfers down on the river having a great time too. :smt023

Here's the pics......
