twostrokeshop.com

A heads up
Been trying for nearly 2 months to get my billet powervalves and bushes (another thread another time...)
E mailing Steve at twostrokeshop.com regularly - told me last night he will be closing the shop. This is due mainly to 3rd rate suppliers constantly letting him down.
The website is still up but I would definitely call if you were planning to order to make sure they have what you are looking for in stock.

If you look around there's quite likely a whole different reason he's closing. Good luck getting your parts or your money.

I've never had issues with supply from Steve, last lot of parts came in a fortnight ago.

With the tss500 engine debacle I suspected this may happen which is a real shame.

I have been constantly ordering parts from Steve, never had an issue. Did you get your money back?

Yeah same for me,

I lived in QLD and spent 3 weekends with Steve building my Stroker motor and just catching up on development and to debate about two strokes. His knowledge and pragmatic approach to issues was a real strength.. I can tell you the situation he found himself in was very unfortunate and destroyed his desire to further two stroke development. What a shame.. I know the TSS 500 we all chased the dream that promised so much but did not deliver... Being somewhat on the inside IMHO Steve did all he could to recover the situation his business partner set him up for.

I've heard people joke about his workshop but his house was a shrine to two stroke development.

My ramble is over.

Steve is a GREAT guy! last year, I purchased a CDI, Stator and a few other items from TSS with no issues plus a lot of customer support. however, I've sent 3-4 emails over the past months but NO reply. I also suspected something would happen!
Its sad to hear but I wish Steve the best luck!

I recieved my parts just this week.
The powervalves had been reworked and were marked up. The bushes were very secondhand looking with a bunch of nicks and scrapes - almost as if they had been used.
Steve said he would send more bushes (nothing he could do about the powervalves apparently. .) So we shall see.
I feel for Steve. He obviously has a passion for 2 strokes and it's a shame if his business is going down the pan. However as a business owner you shouldn't take customers money unless you can deliver a quality product in a timely fashion

There are individuals that paid him thousands and got nothing other than lies and excuses.

Lol Rothwel blaming 3rd rate suppliers for his demise, how ironic Steve. Nothing to do with a load of people successfully suing you for your own dodgy dealings eh? You people who received odds and sods of him and rave about the exemplary service...what a joke. He parted company from Wobbly long before the shit hit the fan. He kept the dream alive so he could keep the deposits coming. Showing generic pictures of motors etc to the punters saying "this is your motor". Let's look at his case file TSS500GP..complete lie and Fail. TSS1100GP complete lie and fail. Athena 421 kits.. complete lie and fail. these BIG projects were used as a vehicle to peddle his on-sold parts and spares and raise his profile in the 2 stroke community. Truth is he never developed anything and was shameless in promoting other people's products and ideas as his own. And boy can the man talk-----shit. Far from promoting and being the saviour of two-strokes he will be remembered as a scamming egotist that destroyed the dreams of many. Good Riddance Prick. :smt041

Have you had personal experience Bogeysnake?

You seem to have a grudge - of your 6 posts 4 are to slam TSS. Seems like you're here with an agenda?

Yes I'm $16,000 down. Does that seem a good enough excuse to have a grudge to you? To all the people who have done business with this man and are happy I say good luck to you. You were the lucky ones. Castroltits started this thread with a familiar theme ie. TSS not supplying the goods it has promised a customer. Some people saw that as a cue to leap to Rothwell's defence and that's fine with me, as long as I can also give my side of the story as well. I won't hear people blowing smoke up this mans arse who only outlaid $70 for a set of bearings without hearing the other side. Opinions are like arseholes, everyones got one... you just got mine.

He's moved. He's up on the Atherton Tablelands somewhere. Not sure but it looks like his house got re-possesed. If anybody's got his new address please post it up. It's nice to keep track of people like this.
