I was always in 2 minds about fitting the banana swinger, seeing yours now finished has made up my mind.Very nicely turned out bike there.

I would have if I had a bigger piece of material to start with, plus I only have limited use of the plasma machine since I don't work there anymore.

This build brings back a lot of memories. Inspiring to say the least.
Makes me want to pick up my RZ crates and get back to work.

Just a short video of the first startup after installing the Koso EGT gauges. Needs a bit of jetting work, but I still love the sound! :smt020

Yeah, I've got a little bit of tuning to do. I think it may be as simple as adjusting the air screws. Right now they are turned out the same on both. But as I've learned, each side seems to run just a little different. :smt017 Once I get it on the road the temps seem to equal out.

A very tastefully done enhancement but, did I miss seeing an earlier post, have you put it on a weigh scale?

Yes, your bike sounds fantastic. (I guess it looks okay too. :smt007 )

Do you have any photos of the bung install on the pipes?

Do you do your own SS welding or farm it out?

Yes, I do all my own welding and fabricating. The bungs I got are mild steel, so I had to use a 309L filler rod for dissimilar metals.
Here's a few pics I took today after work.

Jon,
I took a measurement while the pipes were off using a machinist ruler inside the exhaust spigot to a reference point on the outside of the spigot. That gave me a point to continue from to get the 6" they call for in the setup of the probes. Hope that makes sense. :smt017

From the center of the piston......or from the front of the piston crown.....ill be awake for hours now thinking bout this lol.
I nearly melted my new engine & was looking at this sort of set up.
Nice pipes & sounds sweet as....
