The hugger, I like them. I have one planned for my swingarm conversion when I get to that point. I'd go modern and not do a old school version that covers the entire top of the tire just a small 1/4 to 1/2 coverage piece. almost just a splash guard for the frame/shock area. In "carbon only." The color matched ones look a little hokey to me.

What are you are doing for a main fairing or instruments/lighting if it's naked? I've just gone back through the pics and this really is a great piece of work, can't wait to see it finished. On the left pipe mount I think you would do good to put some compliance in the mount, like the stock RZ or even a dirt bike exhaust hanger so it doesn't crack. I also agree with the Aussie delegation, no hugger.

there will be just a big ol round headlight out front, no plastics.
I may stick with the stock light or possibly upgrade to one from an SV 650(better output) I would love to go crazy and spend the $350 for a 7" round LED but that just aint gonna happen with me frying cdi's :smt003

Still havent decided on the hugger other than if I do one it will be carbon, and there is a company that makes them, they look really nice and go about 2/3 up the front of the rear tire.
Problem is they are like 180 pounds and I dont think that converts to US dollars very cheaply, it is nice though as it integrates a chain guard, although I never ran a chain guard on my old Hawk I had so it doesnt really matter.

decided I am going to go full bore on the CDI and get the fully tunable one, sadly I have to save a bit of coin though so it may not come too soon.

Thats ok though I still have lots of work to do elsewhere on it.
Thanks for the Kudos gents

Battery showed up and CDI is on its way. Zeeltronic full programmable.

Been messing with colors.
the two that are in the running
missed the rimstrips on the red painted one but think I am leaning towards the white on white any how. the red one has two white stripes down the center(electrical tape) and I like that with the red/white stripes.
the three strips of tape on the tank represent my logo, a bit rough though :)

I will see what it look like with white and red stripes but have to get home at a decent time for that to happen.

what do you guys think?

I'd vote the white I think, but i like them both. The red does look a little 'bitty', ie you had a white bike and used some red bodywork on it. Always a problem if youve no other panels to carry the theme off lower down, that's why you need the rim tapes I guess.

Your bike is looking really compact, I like it very much.
From the two pics, I vote for the white background.
I also would keep the GTZ logo not very big and would add a YPVS anagram somewhere on the tail, too.

I thought for sure Jon was going to vote Yellow. LOL

I like the white. If you do like some red on it, go with some wide rim stripes. I'm not keen on red bikes.

Looking great BTW.

I think the red would look better with black wheels. As shown I like the white better. Looks awesome with no fairing, show off all the great work on there.

the gtz logo will be small. its that size simply because my ms paint skills lack a bit in talent.
Hadnt thought about a YPVS logo but I like the idea.

RuZty: you mean like this

I think it looks really heavy on the bottom. with the black wheels.

I hadn't tried yellow or even blue for that matter. Maybe I need to play around with it.

RZResurection: funny because I have always been the guy in my riding group with red bikes, dont know why I guess its just that was the right bike at the time and for the right price on the used market, but now my options are unlimited. I am a fan of KTMs. I suppose I could MS paint some orange on there. Maybe we'll save that for the dirt bikes.

No front fender??
Tail section is for a Honda nsf 100
I do have a front fender I just have been keeping it boxed up for protection.
its a shiny new carbon piece.
I think I have decided on the rear hugger as well, I will use one and it will be carbon, and it will be expensive so it may be added on at a later date as money becomes available but I think it will help pull some things together.

Not Tyga, it was one of the fairing companies, Airtech maybe? cant remember I would have to dig and see if I could find it
