Its a bit heavier than I wanted, the Aprilia Mile front end weighs 1.3 mega tons!
This is one reason for the excess weight.
I can get it lighter during next winter when I have a bit more time, however it wont be that much lighter.
.
I guess having those heavy forks may be a good thing. They may help keep that front end an the asphalt with that big 535!!!

124 kgs, not bad at all. Again real nice job!

Thanks Pete,
I have cleaned up the jetting low down, however it still needs a bit more.
I will fit a thermostat this week to keep the temp constant, then I can sort out the jetting a bit better.

I will up date later in the week/weekend.

Thanks for the comments.

Best regards

Peddro.

The seat unit, subfrme & back box can all be removed with just 4 bolts for ease of working on the bike.

Its probably going to be about 115 on pump gas, 125 on race gas... my 535 hauls butt and weighs about 90LBS more than his bike....should be awsome!

I finally got some decals fitted.
The bike still needs a bit of fine tuning but is much better now.

Hi It1bird,

Sorry no video yet.

As for up dates well yes been busy soting out a few minor things & now I am modifying the swingarm again as I thought that it didnt quite look right.
I have still retained the structural Carbon fiber by the chain run.
Image

Hopefully it will look better than the above, it should be finished Sunday with a bit of luck I will post photos when done.
Also I am now making a few full Carbon fiber body kits for some people on the Aprilia AF1 site for the Aprilia RS250, so I have been busy doing that rather than playing with the TZR.

Thanks to Slinger for the advice given when we met up at Cadwell Park a few weeks ago, also thanks to Roger @ Wicked Motorsport for his assistance with spares, & for his kind comments above.
PS. Roger, I hope to get your carbon stator covers to you in the next few weeks.

After a great deal of stick from some mates, I entered by bike in the Carol Nash Insurance "Britain's got biking talent" competition.
Over 800 bikes entered, their are 6 categories,
Sports, Classic, choppers & customs, street-fighter, modified street, & concourse restored.
I found out today that I have got through to the public vote stage, so down to the last 60 bikes total & the last 10 bikes in the "sports bike" section which I entered.
I know that I wont win it, as their are some really smart bikes entered, but it was interesting to see that the judges liked it so far, & it was almost all hand made not just bought off the shelf.
Its now up to the public to vote via the internet.

it doesn't mater if your in another country:- http://www.britainsgotbikingtalent.co.uk/bgbt_cat.php

Best regards

Peddro.

Thanks Slinger.

Hi aaronmvrider,

Yes, no problem I can make one like mine.
However the rear of my casing is a bit shorter than the std Yamaha casing, as the std casing wouldnt fit my bike around the swingarm pivot / frame.
Here is a photo of the plug from which I made the mold to show how much shorter that Std it is.

Image

I will be making a new mold for the Banshee motor, in the next week, this will be a 3 peice casing, however these molds are being made for Roger @ Wicked Mortorsport so you would need to contact Roger regarding this type of casing, as I will be suppling these direct to him.

If you require the std casing I would need a good casing to make a new mold & it also depends if their is enough interest to warrant me making another mold, as I only made these parts for a bit of fun, however it is possible.

Here is a link so you can compair the different casings, Std Yamaha, Roger's & my casing.
These casing's are not just a straight forward "cover" as they need to have the bolt spacers fitted inside to stop the casing from collapsing when bolted up, also it needs a sheild fitted to the inside to prevent dirt from the chain depositing onto the flywheel so its not just a cover but a casing.
I have also just made a water pump/oil pump casing.

I hope this helps.

Best regards

Ballpark idea on price? I really like the side cover and the oil pump cover. I reckon someone over there would be willing to offer up a standard stator cover if you offered them a deal on a carbon one. Do you use a UV resistant (non-yellowing) resin?
