On a Mac you can resize pictures right in Preview, and on an iPhone you can do it in the Photos app. Android should be pretty straight forward too. Gimp works well on the off chance you are running Linux. Photophucket have killed this thread.

I'm trying not to think about it.

This thread is just one thread on one website.

I've also used Photobucket for my other bike projects, car projects, and life in general for at least 15 years.

Because of the amount of views on all my threads, I feel like it's a good thing for them to continue on with all the pics. But, I don't like Photobuckets' tactics.

I should have started my own website long ago, and hosted all my own pics, but I wasn't smart enough to anticipate this situation.

For now, I will just carry on with my projects. Everything in the real world is still looking good.

Titanium exhaust mount.

Precision cut tubing to attach the tips to the silencers. (Only need 4 pieces to fit.)

Been working on the exhaust tips.

Made a couple of mistakes. More soon....

So, the welding went fine.

The silencer end caps are held in with snap rings. Problem is, I never tried installing the snap rings. Turns out the flanges are slightly too thick, can't get the snap rings in.

Second problem is, it was jigged without the snap rings in. Now, the parts are too short to use.

There's still enough material on the end caps to cut off the welds and still use the parts. Will probably need cutting, some clean up work and machining, and new tubings cut.

Then, round 2 of welding.

Chopped off the silencer end caps and took them to the machine shop yesterday. Need to turn down the flange thickness.

Chopped the tubes off the exhaust tips. Squared off and smoothed the tips. Ready for round 2.

Waiting on the flanges and new tubes.

Okay, almost ready for a second try at welding. Notice the snap rings are in place. Turned down the thickness of the flanges, cleaned up the end caps and exhaust tips, and cut new tubes.

Still trying different combinations of tube pieces for the best fit and symmetry. (The exhaust tips are not a matched set).

Haven't welded the tips, yet. Will probably just tack them for now.

Started working on the stingers. Said I was going to use cut pieces of straight tubing to make bends. Turns out, the bends are tight, and I don't want to decrease flow (more), so trying mandrel bent tubing.

This cap is on the opposite end of the silencer. The aluminum cover next to it also has a burn mark.

My guess is the welder wasn't grounded properly.

First burn repair didn't get it all.

Need to try again.

Machine cut tubings. Will eventually tack onto the stinger flanges.

Okay, so I need to make some progress fast.

There's no phone number for Jeff on any of his websites. Well, no numbers that he would be at.

I searched my ass off and found some remote website with a post by him - and there was a number in the sig! The area code checked out, and I tried it.

Son-of-a-bitch!! Dude sounds just like Mr. Science. Told me he achieved the record with his TZ350. Went over 170mph. Fucking right on, dude.

Then he laid out the list of projects waiting for him. Forget, it. And it's all bad-ass race shit. He said he hasn't been taking on any pipe-building projects for a while.

He did read the email I sent yesterday. After talking to me a bit, he said- "Send me some pics of your project- maybe I'll be inspired to do it."

I'd love for Slinger or Kenny to make my pipes, but Nova Scotia or England is a LONG way to ship a bike.

Would also love to have pipes from BT. But he's another super fabricator that all the race teams want. Maybe somehow.

This is pretty amazing stuff from Jeff H:

Will send him photos tonight.
