My Blinged-Out RZ Project
Hi, everyone - this is my first post!
I've read the entire website, and I feel like I know a lot of you through your posts and projects.
My project bike is a 1985 RZ350N which I purchased new in January of 1985. Current mileage is 21,845. It has a fair number of mods on it, many of which I will be upgrading during this major retrofit.
I've been planning and ordering parts for a few months, but as you guys know, it's quite a time-consuming process.
I'll start posting info and pics, and I hope you guys enjoy, and are able to contribute to my build.
THANKS!!

Well, since the title says "Blinged-Out" I figure I'd better post up something worthy. These are already at my house:
Dymag Magnesium Front Wheel for 2007 GSXR600:
I took this drawing of a 2001 R1 Rear Wheel and modified it to remove the swingarm offset, and set the sprocket to give 5mm chain-to-frame clearance and 5mm chain-to-tire clearance. (Hopefully, I calculated correctly  )
Dymag Magnesium Custom Rear:
I need to shave those decals!

At the end of January, I ordered a JMC Custom Swingarm with Mega Top Bracing, 1 inch over length, and eccentric adjusters. The pivot and linkage connections are OEM RZ350, and the width will fit a 167mm rear tire, and the Custom Dymag Rear Wheel.
No frame widening on this project - I want to keep the frame intact, except for changing mounting brackets and reinforcement.
There's a problem with my order. I can't get the specs for the new unreleased Brembo HPK rear caliper, so I may have to cut a spacer and fabricate and install the rear mount and caliper at a later time. I know the specs are nearly identical to the Ducati 916 caliper, but I can't find that drawing, either.
The Brembo Rear Caliper will be underslung like a GP Bike.

Looks amazing, I can't wait to see that swingarm in place...
keep up the good job!
here I'm still looking for a rear sprocket with 520# and 39-38 teeth to fit the R1 05 rear rim... ...

Truly, an International thread.
I got these new parts from Ebay a couple of months ago:
2007 GSXR600 Front Forks:
2007 GSXR600 Lower Triple Tree, Steering Damper and Front axle:
These are for the front end conversion, and I'm going to try to modify the RZ frame to use the steering damper and steering stops. I also found a place that can make custom springs for the forks.
