Interesting design but it looks like the seat height is taller than my MX bike. How tall do you think the owner of this bike is? Looks like a 40 inch seat height!

I wouldn't have gone quite that wild with the bodywork, but my ideas wouldn't be far from that.

Mostly impressed with the one-off frame, and all the originality.

Any one can buy manufactured parts and bolt them together mindlessly. Takes real talent to design and build things from scratch. Pretty sure the bike was built in 9 weeks.

it would be like riding a "Penny farthing" bicycle , not exactly a full prone race tuck.
but love the frame work .
maybe the tank/set unit is to allow for the biggest air filters in the world
and it takes me more than 9 weeks to change a spark plug so what do i know :smt023

Im impressed with the work, I just think the look of the finished article is bitty and like the builder didnt have a full plan in his head before he started. ie the rad looks tacked on and the seat height as has been mentioned; its like 3 bikes had a baby. But, thats the point isnt it, you build what you want, how you want, if you have the skills. I'll keep mindlessly bolting on manufactured parts I guess...

Did this quick with my phone while waiting for RAD.

I would add just slightly more than this:

I don't think the seat is that high. Consider the thickness of the OEM seat and the frame/bodywork in that area.

Dude that built/rides it is 125kg.

Yeah, what he said. Guy has nice skills and at least did a frame... It oozes crafstmsnship, but for me loses the artisianship. Glad the guy built what he wanted, but for me no thanks, I'll pass & just be totally happy w bolt ons, going based of the original design, as that's what flows and looks the best. In many cases subtle bolt ons w minor fab work...look far better in the end.

I wanted a one-off frame for my RZ project, and sketched up what I wanted. The cost was too much for me, so I just modified the OEM frame.

This is one of the nicest and most original RZ350 frames I've seen. If you guys have pics of other one-off RZ350 frames, please post. I've seen a few. I know JH is planning a one-off frame build very soon (for the street!).

I should have gone with the one-off frame. Too easy to copy my OEM frame mods. I doubt we'll see copies of this frame. :smt003

I'm not really interested in what the bike looks like. There are very few bikes I think look good. Everyone has their own taste.

I was focusing on the cool frame and one-piece, self supporting, aluminum monocoque tank/seat/tail. Also impressed with the lack of expensive tooling/CAD, short build time, and originality.

It's a very interesting look for sure.
I'm not an engineer.... to me it seems like the rider weight (when seated) is transmitted to a small and very high section on the frame. I would be concerned about the impact this has on handling. Especially if you hit a bump while turning. It just looks like that long length seat brace would act like a force multiplier or lever on the frame.

He's heavy, so maybe the seat goes way down when he sits on it. I wonder if it even needs a rear shock.

I'd be more concerned about slamming on the brakes, and getting catapulted over the bars by the monocoque spine. :smt003

I see your point. Would make sense to get some of the weight transferred to a lower part of the frame. Clearly not engineered for maximum performance. I'm guessing he's not an engineer, either. But, perhaps the point was to use the spine like that to make all that empty space underneath.
Just guessing. Dude is definitely more of an engineer than I'll ever be.

Kind of like building a choppah - It's all about the look.

Speaking of suspension squat- you have to wonder how much ground clearance those pipes have while he's on the bike.
