I bought something from niche cycle this summer for the RZ- can't remember what it was but I don't recall having any issues with the order or my credit card after the fact. They seem legit.

also a dealer distribution source that will sell direct to cucstomer.

(parts unlimited only sells to dealers) Most atv/motorcycle/snowmobile dealers buy the bulk of their non-OEM parts at Parts Unlimited. Parts unlimited also owns or is affiliated with Dennis Kirk. They each sell some of the same stuff but have some exclusive items as well. Most of the parts you see on ebay or amazon probably originate at P/U as dealers get huge discounts from P/U based on volume.

I called John at Economy Cycle and he was super helpful and friendly! What a valuable vendor to have around. He confirmed the main jets are EBC and the pilot jets are Mikuni, and he has had good experience with both.

Since I am making an OEM order anyway I might throw a couple Yamaha jets in there too. Thank you all for your continued guidance.

I got my OEM banshee crank from partzilla. They have good schematics on thier site. I Also have ordered OEM buts from Niche cycle.

Jets r us are good too. Unfortunatley I’ve had to stop ordering from USA as the duties and tariffs etc.. are rediculous.

Guys, just remember that if you buy aftermarket jets, don't expect them to be linear, or even close to the same size for a given jet number. For example, a size 150 in a Mikuni, WILL NOT be the same size as a 150 from EBC!

Pulled those air screws out. The brass plug was pretty cake to remove - just used a tiny drill bit in my dremel then used an EZ out to pull it out. The air screws were installed 1 turn out from seated, and the order of installation is o-ring, washer, spring, screw. The o-rings are totally hard and squished so I will need to find a couple replacements. It looks exactly like every other fuel or air screw o-ring I've seen before. Guess I am buying a 100 pack from McMaster lol.

Does anyone know how to remove the choke lever plastic cap? Is it threaded on? I want to replace the seal around the shaft as it's all cracked.

Baby steps lately - with work being pretty busy and the weather sucking, I am limited in how much I can do on the project.

Got the rear brake caliper together, using the following:
-Calipers and joint bolts painted gloss black
-New caliper joint seals, piston seals, and bleeder nipple from BrakeCrafters. I had a little bit of issues with the dust seals fitting properly due to the tight piston tolerance. The front calipers were perfect - so I would probably go with OEM seals on the rear caliper if I did it again.
-Vesrah VD-236 organic brake pads. I prefer organic for rear brakes because they are a little less sensitive when braking in corners.
-I used two 3/16" x 2" spring pins to hold the pads in - it's just what I had on hand but they seemed to work perfectly. I might replace them eventually with a shoulder bolt or clevis pin.

This caliper was in decent condition. They were pretty corroded but it cleaned up alright. The paint was significantly better and harder to remove than the front calipers, which basically flaked off.

Does anyone have the height of the spacer between the headlight stay and lower crown (#22)?

I think that collar is a ghost. I don't recall there actually being one there.
I am fairly sure the bracket just bolts right to the lower triple clamp with a fork-clamp pinch bolt.

Agreed.

I ordered in those two spacers & pinch bolts to fit. The pinch bolts are the same length as non spacer bolts. Also the spacer is 25.85mm (1.018 in.) long. Although I am not close to being finished in that area, as of now, not using the spacers. YMMV

Interesting. I figured it was to allow the bracket to line up without any bending but I guess if it's not needed that's cool too.

You won't need to bend anything. If your mounting bracket is true it lines up perfect.
If those spacers shown in the diagram are more than a couple mm in length they would cause a total displacement of the cowl and the instrument cluster. I checked all 3 of my USA RZ350's and that spacer is not there. One of my bikes has been in my possession since new. I'm am certain the part is a ghost.
Besides, there is no way Yamaha would put a long spacer like that on the fork pinch bolt.

I just went to the garage and checked mine. No spacer either. You’re good to go :)
