I do not like Phillips head fasteners for anything medium to high torque. And personally SHCS do not appeal to me either.'

For M5/6 fastners I use a bolt with a M8 Flanged head.

You will have to call them for bulk orders. I believe they have free shipping right now.

Flange head hex bolts are also nice, I will be using some of those.

Their website kinda sucks. I only see 'packs' of assorted hardware?

Trying to find some clamps for the various hoses on the bike. Includes 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, and 15mm diameters for all the carb lines, fuel lines, oil lines, etc. Anyone have a good lead on them?

Only found these which look great but have bad reviews. https://www.amazon.com/Hilitchi-250-Pcs ... B071KNFR6R

Those ones you posted look like they'll do the job

Yambits and Norbo also have a few options for proper hose clamps.

I hate unnecessary fiddly bits, so I just size the fuel and oil lines so I don't need em.

Yeah... the tubing I ordered is all the right size for a nice tight fit. Though I now realize that it won't fit through the grommet on the engine case anymore. Oh well.

Another quick question. I found the kickstand is bent where it presses the kickstand switch. I will be deleting that switch but I'd still like to have it look right. Can anyone provide a photo of theirs or tell me if I got it right with my straightening attempt?

Also I thought I'd share a little random thing I thought was cool. I figured out a way to paint the centerstand spring. It was all rusty and nasty before and now it looks awesome!

It says NLA on the parts fiche (if I'm looking at the right thing). Either way, it was kinda fun painting it :)

Been wondering about something... Where does this rubber tube from the exhaust air system go (held with the bracket, just below the radiator)? I am removing that system but still curious about where it is supposed to lead on the top side.

Oh yeah, I'm trashing it too. BUt do you know where the hose is supposed to go? In other words, is there something I need to block off when deleting this system?

You’re good, nothing on the engine. The system was all exhaust and canisters.

Cool good to know :) On my dirtbike the smog system pulls fresh air from the airbox... but I don't see anything so, whatever.

Guys this project is brutal. Taking me forever and I still don't have anything that resembles a bike. The good news is I *think* I made my final parts order, which means I should have everything I need to build it aside from a few bucks here and there for miscellaneous stuff. Also, I still need to make a trip to the local welder for the engine repair.

My new pipes don't even have ports to attach it to so I plan on removing everything. In general I plan on keeping all parts until the bike is 100% done and so I can keep all the original parts but... Do you need them?
