Modified RZ 350 Swingarm

#1 Post by DFB » Sun Apr 22, 2018 12:00 am

Well I went and made my own swingarm. Got tired of looking for or having to settle on that same ole one that everyone uses. I wanted a wider tire in the back is why, I Started with a 2012 ex 650 wheel and caliper. One because there's so many available, if I decided to produce more swingarms there a good source. And at 160/60/17 its wide enough.

Can anyone help me loading a picture of this.
Keep in mind I'm computer stupid.

I'm having problems with pics.

Interested in what you've done.

Is it an OEM RZ350 swingarm that you modified?

Go here. Just post the pics. Don't even sign up.

Choose 640x480 size.

Yep, pics are working.

Looks interesting.

Do you have pics of the swingarm off the bike? Details are not very clear in those pics.

Aluminum or steel? OEM or other parts in the pivot tube?

I used 4130 Chromolly and all is new steel. The only this i used off the old swingarm was the bearings and dust covers.

Ill be at the 2 stroke extravaganza on the 29th and you'll find me at Rogers both (Wicked Motorsports Atv). He did an amazing job on the motor.

Got it. Nice arm.

Was taking a serious look, but I prefer aluminum.

Good luck with your project!

Smoker, FYI I have this swing arm drawn in Solid works. The production is laser cut and assembled tacked and welded. It can also be produced in Aluminium in the same process.

Will need to look some more and ask more questions.

But, I'm interested again! :smt023
