443 Mito
Just thought I'd post some pics of my recently completed project. It's on the rdlc and uk 2 stroke forums but haven't put anything here before.
Aprilia wheels, forks, yokes, Honda rs250 wilburs shock, tz250 5ke subframe and billet mounts, tz250 fairings, 443cc 7mm cub motor, wicked billet head and intake, VF4 reeds, straight cut gears, 38mm mikunis, TSA custom pipes, ignitech etc etc..
Had to have some bits of machining done to my own design by my friendly engineer, but generally speaking it's all my work.
Still some set up work to do, unfortunately didn't have the right needles for the carbs on the dyno so need to go back, midrange was shit and very rich up top. Made 109 rwhp 9500rpm & 61ftlb 9250 on a flat ignition map. This was on John Warrington Motorcycles dyno. Need to get it sorted but the potential is there. From my initial tests with different needles on the road it's getting there.
Hope you like, cheers Ryan
As you'll notice I'm pants at taking pics.

Gets you thinkin dont it John.....
Re: 443 Mito
Thanks :) worth saying as well for anyone considering a long stroke motor - my crank is one of Roger's at wicked, all uprated bearings etc. The motor is very smooth. Surprisingly so for a big twin. I've read some people having vibration issues but I'm very impressed.

Is that a Billet lightweight crank, or Wickeds standard upgraded crank?yazza54 wrote:Thanks :) worth saying as well for anyone considering a long stroke motor - my crank is one of Roger's at wicked, all uprated bearings etc. The motor is very smooth. Regarding Rogers Billet head, did you leave it as bought with interchangable domes and what CCs or did you have it completley reworked, finally did you have alternate porting on the cylinders?

Re: 443 Mito
It's not a billet crank, not really necessary IMO for a fast road bike.. does have all uprated bearings 11 ball & TZ big ends
The head came supplied with 23cc domes all ready to fit I haven't modified them at all, he knew what they were going on and supplied the right parts.
The ports have had very little work, mainly just cleaning the castings up.
