Coolant reservoir.

Can't finish it until I get further along with the build.

Here, the res is upside-down, so you can see the vent in the cap. There are threads in the vent hole, but I don't know how to make the vent or the mounting bracket, yet.

I thought about backlighting it and adding silver glitter to the coolant, but realized it would be quite gauche. :smt003

Well, I don't have access to read the thread - but from the title, it looks like an aluminum RZ fuel tank.

The OEM fuel tank I wrapped with carbon fiber is in great shape.

I'd buy an aluminum tank over a steel tank any day, if I needed a new tank - or, if I was building a race bike.

Thanks for letting me know, though! :smt006

Very nice work Smoker, as i'm not an engineer I cant really appreciate some of the work you have performed on this build, but im sure it's gunna look and perform as you expect.
Re the coolant tank you could add a few small balloons filled with oil and make a nice Lava Lamp effect.

On a serious note re the steering stop and the use of the double sided tape as a mock up. I know its not ideal, but would it be appropriate for fiddley jobs that are hard to clamp like this to leave the tape and just weld away. I know there would be contamination but would it be so slight as not to make a huge difference to the structural integrity of the weld.
I'm asking because this is a job I have to do in the near future on my current build.
Kind regards Seahorse

Just an update, no pics yet.

Working on a petcock that flows 1.65 gallons of fuel per minute. :smt103

The difficult part is to modify the petcock to fit the RZ tank and have the knob in the center of the side panel hole. I doubt the custom aluminum knob I made will work with the new petcock, but I'll try.

If I can figure it out - this will be a great mod for those who have a big engine in their RZ.

-Also have a vacation from work in about a week. Plan to vacation in the garage and work on the frame. :smt003
