Just like Brian did, I found a cracked and damaged one on ebay and bought it cheap. Had a body shop fix it before getting it painted and decaled. The OEM unit will have the molded tabs inside the unit for the large O rings to grab and attach to. Not sure if the repop ones have that or not?

FWIW I have a cruze image and its an exactct replica done in plastic not fiberglass. came with back pad, mounting brackets and the mole around the taillight. It also has the bumps for O rings. Haven't painted it but there is no seam.

Ooops! :smt037 Should have said used one like Brian's. :smt004 :smt002 Used (and/or damaged) can be a viable option for those looking for an OEM piece. :smt047

G'day race fans. IMO! a SOLO seat cowl should be in the top 3 reproduction parts available for an Rz350. 4-5 months ago an original unused genuine cowl sold for $500 and something dollars in Australia through e-bay and there where many bidders. At the moment i would like to buy 2 reproductions if i was able to source them. I'd happily pay $200 ish for just fiberglass cowl, to $300+ for Abs plastic including mounting hardware and the like. Is there a possibility for fellow forum members to organise a group production run?
In my state of Queensland Australia, it is half price annual road registration if a motorcycle is classed as a one person ride,(full price is $450), Ie solo seat and no rear foot pegs. Does anyone have a donar cowl to loan for a reprodution mould??

Mitsuo aka cruzinimage had the best all-in-one kit. Too bad he sold out of it. He may get some more made in the future. The other option is to get National's Fiberglass cowl/brackets and then get the pad from Mitsuo.

Of course if you want the premium package, contact RZsunlimited and expect to pay top dollar:

The stainless brackets seem good value from that list...

Mark at RDDecals has the graphics cheaper than that i think... he will make sure the colours match your other graphics too.

G'day race fans. After 6 or so months of constantly looking for solo seat cowls over the internet I'm still no closer to owning 1. Still think it would be in the top 3 reproduction part wanted for a Yamaha RZ. Any new leads? How many forum members would buy a good reproduction solo seat cowl available at a reasonable price??
I'd happily pay $300 ish for a ready to mount (painted ?) cowl , including mounting hardware.

I pickup up a cowl from the 'Glassndude" in Ohio for around $150 USD. He makes some great quality parts..
also picked up the butt pad on Ebay.

You could try to PM the glassndude via EBay.

here's a old links..

Agree with mountaincycle. Finding a solo tail is actually very easy if you do the leg work.
