I think you are referring to the stock factory solo seat cover. It really makes the RZ look 10x better.
There is a reproduction company providing these and the required bracket kit included. Someone here will chime in with the lead for you. I think they have been on E-Bay?
Don't waste your money on a real factory unit..UNLESS ITS MINT CONDITION! People are asking silly money for these, even when they require refurbishing. The fiberglass units are identical, but you will have to have it painted and graphics provided that is where the xtra money to finish it comes into play. A real factory pc color matched , in great condition is easily worth $300.00-$500.00 as that is what it would require for a reproduction. Also in addition the original factory pc came with a little bumper pad for the rear section of the seat..I don't know if the reproduction seats come with this?
There may be someone whom sells these color matched as well ...I don't know but doubt it.

http://www.airtech-streamlining.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; makes a repro seat cover but I do not think it comes with all the essential pcs like pad and brackets

Good luck, your bike is going to look way better :smt023

this company made a mould off my OEM solo seat.... really good strong glass... i got a copy also....

this is the copy glass seat... it has no holes or tabs for any mount points or orings.... so a little work needed to finish corretly... drill 4 holes and have 2 tabs fitted... not a big deal

as stated brackets, seat pad and 2 grommets also required

Look for CruzinImage on ebay. He's from Japan and sells other moto parts. He sells the complete kit: cowl, brackets, butt pad, grommets and even the rubber liner on the back of the cowl. Can't beat that. If you search around the forum, some posters were happy with the product. Its not a one piece and others might have a problem with that but that's such a minor issue and not a deal breaker. All you need is the rubber O-rings and another set of screws that goes into the bottom part of the seat which you can get from any hardware store.

Fiberglass places always seem on the brink of going bust, strange industry. Strange that the Prix guys are not making anything, either the place is in receivership or they lost their place of business and havent setup again as they decided to sell the moulds etc.

I found mine on Ebay by searching every day. I got it from a cycle salvage place in Colorado. They had it listed one morning on Ebay. I called them up and asked them if they would end the auction early for $100 and they agreed!! One hundred percent OEM Yamaha cowl.

Deals are still out there, you just have to find them.
