How strong should spark be?

#1 Post by TN-592 » Sun Nov 11, 2018 2:32 pm

I am having a problem with very very hard start or no start at all,and i am suspecting it is of the veak spark....since there is no other rd bike with i could compare the spark,i am asking you guys to tel me how strong the spark usualy is on rd bike?
On my bike I can hold it in my hand and kick i just feel light pain on my fingers and i remember when i did that with other bike your teeths would fell of from the spark impact,so how strong usualy is?

I like your way of testing spark strength. :smt040

Sounds like the typical issue with exchanged left/right float bowls .
FYI: only the right one has the choke jet and if you use the left one on the right, the bike hardly starts...

0.02ct on spark testing: Try to keep contact to the cylinder with the same hand you hold the wire.
DO NOT TOUCH THE BIKE WITH THE OTHER HAND (except you wanna meet Manitou, Jahve, Shiva, Odin or whatever your favorite invisible friend is called)
Bye
