Blinkers Won't Blink

Just installed my new wiring harness and everything works perfect except for the blinkers.
They light up on the correct side and they shut off with the hand switch but they don't blink.
Is it as easy as the blinker module on the fritz?

When I say everything works I mean...
Head Light (both bright and dim).
Tail Light (tail and brake at both foot and hand).
YPVS servo motor.
CDI (lots of spark).
Horn (good and loud)
Dash (every light)

What wattage bulbs are you using. They need to be 20+ watts to make the flasher work.

Great info.
Currently I have four LED's on the bike which draw very little wattage.
I'm going to hook up a set of four standard lights and run the same test.
I'll post the results.
Thanks.

waltmil,

Fantastic information. :smt038 I did a temporary light hook-up and BAMM... I have functional blinkers.
So... my new wiring is done and dusted.
Now on to the next step of the rebuild.

Can get adjustable modules for LEDS. I probably have a spare lying around I can send for a fiver + a couple bucks postage.

Evan,
Thanks tons for the offer.
However I have already purchased a set of resisters.
But I'll keep you in mind if this venture doesn't work as planned.

Beware with resistors that you place them somewhere on steel not plastic, they get very hot. Much better to take Evan up on his offer for a flasher module really.

I've sent Evan a p.m.

I agree with advice on using an electronic flasher (i got one off ebay for next to nothing, non-adjustable 3 pin type, needed grounding) unit instead of resistors. Then use all led blinker bulbs and see this thread on here; viewtopic.php?f=3&t=10151&start=15" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for a solution to the indicator lamp/all 4 lights up problem when doing this conversion.
