Solid blinkers on LC
Looks like another similar topic was posted recently but this problem appear different.
Blinkers are solid, they do not blink at all. Battery is charged and voltage is good. Can hear relay click and have tried a spare with same result. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Evan.

Re: Solid blinkers on LC
Try some different bulbs , look like some can have a higher resistance , I had the same problem on my last LC rebuild .

Re: Solid blinkers on LC
That could be the problem given these are aftermarket replica turn signals. Any idea which bulbs you replaced them with?
Re: Solid blinkers on LC
Are they LEDs? If so you would have to add a resistor in parallel which complicates things or you need a solid state flasher. If they are incandescent you need 20+ watt bulbs which may not fit.

Non LED. They look like standard filament bulbs. Not sure on wattage.
The blinker module requires a set amount of resistance in order to flash then?
I guess I will hit the auto value for some higher wattage bulbs.

Yes, it takes a certain current flow to operate the flasher, kind of a thermal element thing. I actually had the same problem with my after market signals on my RZ. They had 12w bulbs. I put 22w in the front but they wouldn't fit the rears so I had to change them. I might look into electronic flasher modules if I have any future problems.

Re: Solid blinkers on LC
One issue I had was the wires were not hooked up to the correct ones.

i just went through my box of spares until I found some that were ok .evan_calgary wrote:Any idea which bulbs you replaced them with?
