#1 Post by LC Cnd » Sat May 23, 2015 9:51 pm

Located a bottle of 100% Bardahl syth injection oil yesterday. Only found more in the UK under KGR Bardahl two stroke oil that was close. Anything comperable in Canada/US for purchase?

That one is packaged for sale in Canada, French and Metric on the label. I've never come across Bardahl myself but in Ontario Motul 710 and Amsoil Interceptor are easy to come by. Best to stick with something readily available in your area.

I've had great results with Amsoil Interceptor for the pump as well as BelRay H1R in premix. Haven't seen Bardahl in decades. It was good stuff back then.

Along w/ what T.Rex & RuZty said, Motul 800 is also widely used in a lot of two strokes (seen many recommendations for this oil). Amsoil I like and have run for years, keeps the exhaust port really clean. I even run Amsoil Saber Professional in the injector (JASO-FD rating) in both the RZ and RD350.

In my experience Motul is good oil but overpriced and more than a little over rated. 800 is not JASO rated,in fact it is not even submitted. The data sheet simply (and evasively) states exceeds all standards but gives no numbers or standards to back the claim. Using this on a new bike could result in warranty issues should there be problems.

Must admit publicly I've had poor experiences with their 4 stroke stuff that led to further investigation and distaste for their products.

And Amsoil is 1/2 the price. Win-win all around. $11 bucks locally for Amsoil Saber Professional from Costless Auto Parts. At least my bikes feel smoother when i run this oil from a cheaper oil, say Honda GN2 or yamalube 2S (which stinks like hell).
