I love JDM parts.
Adjustable link connecting rod.
Never seen one on any other WR250X.

Re: Daily Supermoto
Changing the plug every 6,000 miles is a pain in the ass (compared to my 2-stroke bikes).
Need to remove the bars, steering damper, bodywork, seat, and fuel tank. Can't take the tank all the way off due to special connectors on the fuel line.
Got it done yesterday.

I was worried at first, because I'm not used to 4 strokers.two-stroke-brit wrote:^^^^^^^^^^^

Now have around 30,000 miles and haven't done any engine maintenance except change the oil, filter, and spark plug. And I ride full throttle on the freeway 5 days/week.
Push a button and it starts. Amazing. Had it several years, now.
Re: Daily Supermoto
Obviously needed to replace the LP frame.
Old one was a thin, stamped frame.
New one looks like powdercoated cast aluminum.

New silencer has been on for a while.
Will wipe it down and get a decent photo soon.

Re: Daily Supermoto
Replaced the left side panel. Has thousands of scratches. Other side has zero scratches. WTF kind of voodoo is this???

Re: Daily Supermoto
Somehow, the steering damper came loose.
Took off the bars to tighten it up. Got it all back together and the throttle was sticky.
Took apart the throttle and found strange wear.
I think the culprit is this nubby. Fits into a hole on the OEM bar. No hole on my bar. Not sure why it was working fine before. Polished up the damaged bar and throttle tube.
Grinded off the nubby, and adjusted the cable to free up the throttle tube. Threw on some new grips while I was at it. Ran out of time. Will put on the bash bars tomorrow. Need to re-adjust the bar, too. Couldn't see shit in my mirrors today.

Re: Daily Supermoto
Got a PolarGel Cooling Vest today, in time to chill it down before work. Using it with a Joe Rocket Mesh Jacket.
It needs to be colder and last longer, although I'm only using 75% of the cooling power. The Leatt collar would press on the upper back cooling pad, so I left it out.
Gonna mess around with it some more. Good for a short trip. Once the ice packs warm up they need to come off. They don't breathe and they block ventilation in the jacket.

Handguards and bash bars back on.

Re: Daily Supermoto
Bash bars aren't square with the bar ends because the handlebar width is cut down for lane-splitting.

Last time I had one of these on the bike, it got stolen. Not the whole cap, just the vent tube.
