Hey,
I've acquired the banana swingarm 3XV and linkage and trying to mount it to an 84 RZ350 frame. I recently got a linkage assembly from Australia and would like a pic of the linkage and shock assembled to the swingarm and frame if anyone has one. I've printed out a fiche view from an overseas Yamaha site but a pic would help a whole lot.
Thanks
Craigus

:smt003..... hi ,, I too have an imported 3xv sp swinger i need to put into an rz350 ypvs '88 ,,the swinger is to wide and need to shave off by 3/16' approx each side {check and measure for exact measurements with end caps ,, also will need to get new race and needle bearings from allballs racing to acompany the small swing arm rz pivot bolt , once that is in ,, will need no larger than 5 to 5.5 in. rim like older r6 that has a short carrier ,, will neeed additional spacers ,, do your alignment without rubber on rims ,, yu will prob need an offset sprocket 17 tooth on the front but not too offfset for not to put pressure on the output shaft ,, 6mm the back sproket can be an offset as well ,, its alot of f,,kery but oh so woth it ,, ill post this soon as ive given up trying toput in an r6 2008 swing arm .. way to fat unless i shave that and split the rz frame ,, no one has posted about these swingarms swap .. good luck

Best of luck with Calif, I can't even get a answer from the man regarding work or a ballpark price. (Through my friend ) I was told there was aTZR frame that was going to be held for me for my rz350 conversion... Even after I referred him plenty of work ?
My friends project was supposed to take 10 months ....that was like 3-4 years ago now ?
Perhaps it's finished now..I've no idea.
I haven't spoken with either gentleman in a long time.
The man does excellent work and the photos I saw my friend's bike were rather exquisite a Wanna-Be YZR500 conversion... It did look pretty sweet.
Met the man in person who is very hospitable and very entertaining.... And very talented!
Perhaps his demand for work is just too much and overbearing...I just wanted a rolling chassis that I can fit my motor up to and use s set of his pipes, then due to m to budget was going to do the rest of fabrication down south here....Oh well.
If you can get him to do the work in a timely manner I would say there would be no reason you wouldn't be entirely satisfied.
There is only one other person I could recommend for fabrication and tuning work by reputation and cost now, that would be Ed Toomey... His work is exquisite as well. I mean sure there's a lot of little shops that can do stuff the Garage Company in L.A. is one, Yoshi will do stuff.. but it's also L.A. prices

It's a tough task finding an average bike enthusiast to do good work at a reasonable price. It is very difficult these days I am learning to weld so by the time I'm 80 I may have Tzr350😄
It's all good... I have too many projects anyways and not enough money for all of them.... 😆LOL.
